What a lovely friendly place to visit…We had a fantastic meal last night at the Hope & Anchor. We were made to feel so welcome . We had our little puppy Rodney with us, and all the staff made such a fuss of him.. he loved it. The food was gorgeous.. the sticky toffee pudding was to die for❤️… Thankyou to all the staff, Rihanna, Kim, the lovely lad who bought our food out, and of course the chef… fantastic service, and great food.x

Lovely food and great staff
We booked in advance for a family Sunday roast whilst staying in Hope Cove. All the staff were lovely and our waitress was very helpful and friendly. The menu choices were great especially as our daughter dislikes a roast! Honestly, our roasts were as good as they get! Delicious all round, great portions and I, for one, loved the gravy too (very important!). All fairly priced and great food. Thanks to everyone there

A fabulous setting overlooking Hope Cove. Although we picked a drizzly day to go ! A superb lunch of fish and chips for four, and the staff were lovely, and very welcoming to our dogs

Always a good experience in the Hope and Anchor. Thank you for fitting us in last minute on Easter Saturday night! We had beautiful fresh fish and mussels and were looked after brilliantly by our lovely waitress upstairs in the dog friendly area. Thank you! X

6 star location
6 star location! Service is pretty good too. The menu is full and varied with locally caught and reared mears high on the list. Good ale and lager list as well as a multitude of gins, vodkas and rums. Very good though. Plenty of seating inside – perhaps book in advance so as not to be disappointed. Blankets available for those who are happy to brave the cooler days of the year. Happy family-type atmosphere.

Came for Sunday lunch. Excellent food, excellent service from a team that were obviously happy, well drilled and very good at what they do. A thoroughly positive experience. We will definitely be back – hopefully in a warmer day!
